Our Leadership Team
Dave Davis is A-TEC’s CEO. Dave started at the company in 1998 when he was hired to start a maintenance department for the company. It was soon discovered that his ability to restructure, organize, and streamline other departments was needed throughout A-TEC. Dave’s vast work history, flexibility, and his self-motivation has certainly been a huge part of the A-TEC’s success. On June 16th 2021, Dave assumed the role of CEO and has continued A-TEC’s growth through his servant leadership and vision of the future.
Jean Davis has cultivated more than 17 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management and is currently the Chief Revenue Officer and Managing Partner of A-TEC Ambulance.
In 2006, she launched her career working within patient financial counseling. Then, advancing to private EMS Revenue Cycle Management in 2007. Jean began her working relationship with A-TEC Ambulance through a third-party billing company. Beginning in 2015, she developed her own Revenue Cycle Management and has been afforded the opportunity to work alongside experts within multiple Revenue Cycle software companies. Consulting in EMS at a national level, Jean has collaborated in designing effective billing processes which are distinctive to EMS. Her specialty is focusing on key performance indicators for true success. Jean’s vision of putting employees first has helped lead A-TEC to be a leader in the industry.
Karl Kuester joined the A-TEC team in February 2022 with over 20 years of EMS experience and leadership! Throughout Karl’s career, he has specialized in start-up and expansion projects within organizations. Some of the notable projects include planning and executing 4 separate hospital moves as well as working with the State of Illinois and IDPH to develop regional protocols for HCID patients. Karl has spoken at national conventions regarding project planning and implementation in EMS. In 2012, Karl received the American Ambulance Association Star of Life award for his dedication to service and patient care within the healthcare industry. We are proud to have Karl serving as Vice President of Administration.
Zack Wills has a distinguished career spanning over 15 years in Emergency Medical Services. His journey began in 2007 when he entered the field as an EMT and then eventually became a paramedic before transitioning to the Communication Center as a dispatcher and later the manager. Currently serving as the Director of Operations, Zack seeks to be the force steering the strategic vision of the organization with his forward-thinking. He prioritizes ongoing education and training for staff, remains actively engaged in growth and development of new leaders, implements innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness for the betterment of our organization.
Tim Moss celebrated his 10 year anniversary with A-TEC Ambulance in July of 2023. In Tim’s 33 years of EMS experience, he has worked in several areas of EMS including: paramedic, field training officer, and operations supervisor. Tim prides himself at holding the organization to the standards that we set with our patients and customers.
Our Recruitment Team
Anja joined A-TEC Ambulance in 2018 and has worked as an EMT and Dispatcher, but is currently on the recruitment team. Anja worked BLS, ALS, and CCT ambulances, along with being part of the Disaster Relief Team and a CPR instructor during her time at ATEC. She also worked municipal in rural Illinois. Anja obtained her EMT certification in 2016. Recently, Anja created an event called “A Day In The Life” welcoming high school students to learn about her field of work. Anja says her biggest accomplishment and joy is being able to raise her daughter in this community.
She has been in EMS since 2010 and has worked in various forms of EMS over the years before finding her place here at A-TEC Ambulance in 2020. She loves every moment of recruiting. She was always the EMT in various hospital EMS rooms talking to everyone; it never mattered what uniform they wore. Jessica flourishes in most social environments especially when she’s talking about her passions. She is always open and ready to give guidance in any way she can to help. We are thrilled to have her on the A-TEC team!
