Advanced Training

At A-TEC we take training seriously. That’s why we provide an extensive paid orientation program that takes new recruits through an intensive four-week session. The program is designed to build confidence and features one week of classroom training and three weeks of hands-on-training in the field. Driving Requirements

If you are interested in joining our team, we do have a few driving history requirements due to the nature of the job.  Below is a list of situations that will disqualify you from employment with A-TEC.

VIOLATIONS:

  • Not more than 2 in the last 3 years
  • Not more than 1 in the last 12 months

ACCIDENTS:

  • No more than 1 in the past 3 years

AGE PROFILE FOR DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:

  • 21 Years of age
  • Drivers over the age of 70 may require a personal physicians statement

INELIGIBLE DRIVERS:

  • Drivers without a valid drivers license
  • Drivers with the following violations regardless of time period:
    • Homicide involving a vehicle
    • Using a vehicle to eluding a Police Officer
    • Hit and run
    • Manslaughter using a vehicle
    • Felony using a vehicle
    • False report to the police
    • Permitting an unlicensed driver to drive
  • Any driver convicted of the following within the last 5 years:
    • Any alcohol or drug related offense, including but not limited to, driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol
    • Reckless Driving
    • Negligent Driving
    • Exceeding the speed limit by 25 miles per hour
    • License Suspension
