EMT-Paramedic Jobs

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure prompt and efficient response to all emergency and non-emergency calls assigned.
- Assess the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize standard of care.
- Administer effective and appropriate basic and advanced life support to all patients, operating within the scope of practice outlined by associated EMS system Standard Operating Procedures.
- Coordinate patient care with appropriate medical personnel and treatment facilities.
- Ensure narcotic security with effective monitoring and tracking of assigned medications.
- Demonstrate accountability for quality patient care, customer service, and assistance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to communicate effectively, working closely with others to maintain positive, professional relationships
- Ability to operate, or learn to operate computer software essential to daily operations.
- Ability to maintain a working knowledge of IDPH and EMS system standards
- Ability to maintain a working knowledge of applicable EMS system Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability to use good judgment and remain calm in high stress situations.
